so how was everyone's weekend? I went out with my cousin on Friday and had a ball! She and I had not gone out in months so it was nice to catch up and laugh like we do so very well!
My good friend from Minnesota came to visit on Sunday. It was so nice seeing her! She and I met over 10 years ago while working for a Non-profit mentorship type of youth program while I was in HS and she at Yale. We remained friends over the years and she kept in touch with a few of her students and had sort of a reunion with her group on Sunday. It was so nice but very scary, seeing all of those former 7 year old babies who are now these 20-23 year old some mothers, students and sophisticated people. It was so overwhelming! My girlfriend has accomplished so much, I mean she just made principal of her high school in Minneapolis and shes under 35!!!! Anyway, I was so proud for her, of her mentees. Natalie was even there (my Sr. counselor). Natalie and I figured we'd steal/ borrow Rhoda's little idea and convene our girls for a reunion of some sort. L.E.A.P......... wow those were the days...-- This NY Times article from today is so telling. I mean when you read it, can you just picture those states oh say 50 years ago then think about where "We" are today. Then think about those same states 10 years from now with these newly expanded death sentences. This is a direct indication that the war has started....
