QBR's Harlem Book Fair, the largest book fair of its kind, celebrates its 7th Anniversary on Saturday, July 23rd and I plan to be there. Those who know me, know that I am a Jawanza Kunjufu fan like to the 100th degree. He will be one of the panelists on Saturday. Also favorites are Colin Channer, who wrote "Waiting in Vain", Omar Tyree, whom you know from his infamous character" Tracy". Zane will be there reppin for the Black Erotica...well the dumbed down version. Opps, did I say that? J.L King will also be there to set the record straight..because he sure aint! Hugh Masekela will be in attendance, as well as Rev. Juanita Bynum with the word!
Hey, did I mention the Man himself Ishmeel Reed will be there, along with Amiri Baraka!?!?!? Yes, I am excited about the book fair!
