So, how was everyone's weekend? Mine: pretty uneventful. I went out on Friday for a minute for cocktails, and actually seems like I went home and went to bed. Woke up and it was Monday morning. Sure, I watched Waist Deep, which really didn't fit as the title. I also watched The Butterfly Effect 2. Wanna hear something funny? I watched the movie (Butterfly…) yesterday morning and liked it. Well, at around 5ish yesterday evening, the original aired on one of the cable channels. I was all too excited because I can’t recall the movie at all but I knew I liked it. If I could remember correctly it came out around the same time that other bug titled movie came out with the guy and the wife who had the accident and....Dragonfly or something. Honey, I watched that movie for about an hour. None of it looking familiar! As a matter of fact, I don't remember seeing any of it, but it was good. Man, I have a bad memory.

Did anyone catch George Stanopolis’ interview with George Dubbya on Sunday? I watched most of it and was even pleased to hear/ see John Kerry. He was right on the money. He actually never sounded so authoritative and forceful. He was forthcoming, and stern. Some people said that he was too mild mannered, and old acing. I guess he seemed like a push-over and you we Robust Americans love being bullies. We don’t like any sign of weakness. Careful, I said sign.

So more on the Madonna issue. Now the African dude is “claiming” that he thought the adoption process in which he set up with Madonna meant that she would keep his 1 year old son then give him back when he get’s “a little” older. WTF! Now, I didn’t particularly like Madonna. Used to love her in the 80’s and then she allegedly stated in some magazine that she doesn’t care about black consumers because they don’t support her in any way. That could have been false, a misquote or a rumor, but she looks like she might say something like that, and that fake a@*% British accent/ new dialect makes me think that she would think that as well, so I wrote her off. She then came out with that new stuff this year and I did download a few songs, but I still think she should give that African kid back. F that drama. I mean it was 1. thing when the Gov’t got involved. F them, but now the baby-daddy is acting like he didn’t give that baby up to a FREAKIN ZILLIONAIRE! Shoot, I’d send that kid right back, on the bus. And ask THEM the child support for the time I had KeeKa. (That’s what I would name him if I were Madonna.) Oh and yes, if I adopt a kid, animal, whatever, I am naming it, sorry, you can have your previous name as your new Middle name. Out with the old….

So let’s cha about “Waist Deep”, shall we. What did you think about the movie? I had some bad reviews. In fact, I had 1 person who strongly HATED the movie. Then I knew 2 guys that liked the movies. The guys were fellow film critics and the girl, didn’t like watching movies for the most part. So I watched it and I actually liked it. Sure Megan Good could be taking a few more acting classes. I shouldn’t say that. I have a hard time believing any non-sistah girl act for her. To be honest, after the 50 cent video and that other ghetto character she played (Roll Bounce) I see her as the attitudie one. Attitudy women, or people in particular Kill me. Can’t be around em. Don’t like listening to them. But Tyrese did wonderfully and so did Larenz. Let’s take a minute out tot chat about how good Larenz Tate is. You can’t deny how good Love Jones was, he was so compelling in Man Apart. God, I loved that scene where Vin Diesel woke up in the hospital bed, after being in a coma for a minute and he told him that, that wife died. Remember Vin Diesel was trying to get out the bed, or stand and Larenz held him down on that bed and the bed was going every which-a-way! Wooooo! Now that’s acting!!! Now Larenz could have skipped the Biker Boyz casting call but he was the bomb in Ray too, remember?

I’m so glad I only have 3 more hours in this work day. It’s like 3:20 but I know I won’t leave until 5:30. I’ve a good amount of work today too. I really can’t until the day I get to write for a living, and actually be successful at it. I think I should make it a goal for the end of the year. I know I said this 100 times, I still can not believe that it’s October. If I can remember correctly, we change the time next week.

Oh Wait, I did do something cool this weekend. At about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, I caught Comedy Centrals Secret Stash of Dave Chappelle’s 2004 stand up routine from San Francisco. Oh my goodness! It came on at like 1 or so first then came right back on. I watched it 1.5 times and laughed both times.

Did you hear about how this is the number of casualties of our American soldiers this month. Cnn.com is reporting that with the deaths of 11 U.S. military personnel this weekend, the American military's death toll for October stands at 86 -- the highest of the year. Actually, since our president, who I am saying a special prayer for tonight, is/not “staying on course” our guys and dolls are caught now on a civil war. Opps, did I say that?

Songs that I can not stop listening to:
